Most electric fireplaces read as modern by default — a glass ribbon of colour-changing flame. The EF39 goes the other way. LED logs sit on a pulsating ember bed against a brick-effect liner, with a mesh pull screen across the front, so at a glance it reads as a conventional masonry firebox rather than an appliance.
It is built-in, not portable: the unit is framed into a wall opening or installed inside a mantel cabinet. That is what lets it sit flush and look like part of the house.
The EF39 is multi-voltage, which matters more than the spec sheet makes obvious. On a standard 120V circuit it draws 1,440 W and produces 4,915 BTU. Wired at 208V or 240V it steps up to 2,100 W and 2,700 W, reaching 9,220 BTU. There is also a 245 W flame-only mode that runs the visuals with no heat at all — useful in summer.
A black single-pane glass door is available if you prefer a closed face, and a plug kit converts the EF39 from hardwired to a standard plug-in — worth adding if you would rather not run a dedicated circuit. Both can be selected above.
