The Whiskey River uses the same contour-burner principle — a burner tube shaped to follow the logs so the flame rises between them rather than in a straight line — but with a 7-piece log set at every size, including the 18". More logs means a denser stack and a fuller flame pattern, which is the whole reason to pay the premium over the Flint Hill.
Like the Flint Hill it is certified for both vented and vent-free operation, so you can run it with the damper open for a taller flame or vent-free to keep the heat in the room.
They are the same technology and the same control system. The difference is log count and presence:
Available in 18", 24" and 30", all 7-piece, all millivolt control — which generates its own power from the pilot, so the burner still works in an outage. The 18" is also offered in a 10K low-output configuration on request.
Vent-free operation is restricted in some jurisdictions and generally not permitted in bedrooms or bathrooms. Confirm your local code if that is how you plan to run it. Measure the inside width of your firebox and allow clearance at both sides.

A: We ship throughout the continental United States with free shipping on orders over $99 (flat rate $9.99 under $99). For Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories, please contact us for a custom shipping quote, which we'll provide within 1-2 business days. Orders to these locations are not processed until shipping costs are confirmed and approved. We do not currently offer international shipping outside of the United States and its territories.

Custom-made and made-to-order products require 2-3 weeks for production before shipment. Special order items typically take 1-2 weeks. You'll receive tracking information once your order ships.
