It is not right if your wall cannot carry 90 lbs — this is cast concrete, not wood, and the mounting has to suit the weight. It also does not set your clearances: the shelf instructions cover the shelf only, and how far it must sit above the opening is dictated by your fireplace manufacturer's instructions.

That is set by your fireplace, not by the shelf. The instructions cover the shelf only and tell you to follow the fireplace manufacturer's installation instructions so the required clearances are met. Being non-combustible does not change your firebox's published clearances — send us the model number and we will look them up with you.
