A 60,000 BTU/hr gas fire table that is also a table. The Napoleon St. Tropez Rectangle Patioflame is a 57" x 37" hand-painted aluminum table, 24" high, with a long stainless steel burner in a topaz glass ember bed, push-button electronic ignition and a thermocouple safety valve that shuts the gas off if the flame goes out. A matching lid covers the burner when it is off, and on propane a 20 lb cylinder hides inside the base behind a single door. from $1,889.
Choose it if you want a ready-made fire table for a patio or deck that seats a group around a long, linear flame, runs from a hidden 20 lb propane cylinder or from a natural gas line, and doubles as a serving table with the lid on.
It is not right for you if you want a fire pit you build into a patio. The St. Tropez is a finished fire table that seats a group around a long, linear flame, and doubles as a serving table with the lid on.
The table is 57" wide, 37" deep and 24" high, and it is approved for use on combustible floors. Keep 24" to combustible side walls all around and 72" from the top of the unit to any ceiling or overhead. Maximum inlet pressure is 7.0" w.c. on natural gas and 11.0" w.c. on propane. It is listed to ANSI Z21.97-2014 / CSA 2.41-2014 for outdoor decorative gas appliances.
The St. Tropez Square (STTR2-BZ) is the same 60,000 BTU/hr table with the same ignition, glass ember bed, lid and warranty, on a square burner in a 49" x 48" top at the same 24" height. Pick the Rectangle for a longer table that suits a sofa or a row of chairs and the Square for seating on all four sides — from $1,889 vs from $1,889.
Yes. The table is approved for use on combustible floors. Keep 24" to combustible side walls all around and 72" of clear space above the top of the unit to any ceiling or overhead. It belongs outdoors on a patio, deck or in a yard, never inside a building, garage, screened-in porch or gazebo.
No. It is an outdoor decorative gas appliance that burns in the open air, so there is no vent to run. What it needs instead is the right location: under an overhead cover it can have no more than two sidewalls, or three when at least 30% of the surrounding sides stay permanently open.
Both. It ships set up for propane, and a 20 lb cylinder stands inside the base behind the door (a 30 lb cylinder has to sit outside the table on level ground). For natural gas, the orifice to convert it is in the box; a licensed gas fitter swaps it and connects the line, which needs a readily accessible manual shut-off valve. Input is 60,000 BTU/hr on either fuel.
Yes. A matching lid ships with it and sits over the burner to give you a larger flat serving surface. Take the lid off before you light the burner, and put it back only after the table has cooled.
Turn it off when it rains, and do not set it where water runs or pools. It keeps burning in a light breeze but shuts down when gusts top 10 mph, which is why a sheltered spot is best. A Napoleon rectangle windscreen, sold separately, shields the flame.
Napoleon's President's 3 Year Limited Warranty covers the aluminum table top and pedestal, the stainless steel housing and the burner assembly for 3 years and all other parts for 2 years, with replacement parts supplied by Napoleon; labour is not covered. It applies to a home installation done by a licensed technician or contractor. Keep your invoice and the model and serial number.
