These high-quality dampers are designed by professional chimney sweeps and guaranteed to provide an energy efficient and cost-effective option when sealing the top of your chimney. A chimney without a cap allows moisture from rain and snow to be absorbed into your the inner flue tile, outer bricks and mortar. When this trapped moisture goes through a freeze/thaw cycle, the integrity of the chimney’s structure becomes compromised, creating a safety hazard. Home heating and cooling costs can escalate when a proper damper is not installed, allowing air to escape through the chimney flue. At the same time, wildlife, insects and debris can create further hazards inside an uncovered chimney flue. The Top Damper seals out rain, snow, and sleet while sealing in “paid” heat and air conditioning. In its closed position, it is virtually invisible from the ground. The stainless steel and cast-aluminum design ensures that it won’t rust or stain your chimney. The Top Damper doesn’t require a chimney fire safety device, cutting costs and saving time! The Top Damper’s unique lid is made of cast-aluminum which reduces its weight, allowing the damper to open higher and close easier, as well as decrease stress on the springs. The Top Damper is made for use only with open, wood burning, masonry fireplace chimneys and is not suitable for use on chimneys serving vented gas logs. Vented gas logs require the fireplace damper to be removed completely or fixed to a permanently open position; this is to assure that soot, fumes and carbon monoxide do not enter your home. Use this damper only on vent-free gas logs if approved by the appliance manufacturer and the local authority having jurisdiction.

A: We ship throughout the continental United States with free shipping on orders over $99 (flat rate $9.99 under $99). For Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories, please contact us for a custom shipping quote, which we'll provide within 1-2 business days. Orders to these locations are not processed until shipping costs are confirmed and approved. We do not currently offer international shipping outside of the United States and its territories.

A: Orders are processed within 1–3 business days, and delivery after shipment takes 5–14 business days depending on your location. Custom-made and made-to-order products require 2-3 weeks for production before shipment. Special order items typically take 1-2 weeks. You'll receive tracking information once your order ships.
