Required to complete the installation (not included)

• Venting: This unit vents with Superior Secure Vent 4.5 in. x 7.5 in. rigid direct-vent pipe or Secure Flex flexible vent. Shop the Secure Vent 4.5/7.5 (rigid) or Secure Flex components → Select the lengths, elbows, firestops and termination for your run.
• Gas supply: a gas line run and connection by a licensed installer.
• Electrical: 120 V receptacle inside the fireplace cavity for electronic ignition, lights or a blower.

Common questions

Is the venting included?
No. Like every manufacturer, Superior sells the pipe separately because every house needs a different run. Use the Secure Vent 4.5/7.5 (rigid) or Secure Flex page to pick the lengths, elbows and termination, or call us with your framing height and we will build the vent kit for you.

Natural gas or propane?
Choose the fuel at the top of the page; the unit ships configured for that gas from the factory. Conversion kits are listed under optional accessories if you ever switch.

Millivolt or electronic ignition?
Millivolt uses a standing pilot and works with no electricity — simplest and cheapest. Electronic (IPI) ignition lights the pilot only when you turn the fire on, saves gas and has battery backup for outages.

Do I have to pick a facade?
Yes — Superior requires one of the listed facades to finish the opening and it comes with the safety barrier screen. The Vista frame is the inside-fit option; the Reflection and Craftsman facades overlap the finished wall.

What does the interior panel option change?
The look inside the firebox. The standard interior is painted black; the stacked-stone and porcelain liners replace it with a brick or reflective finish and are installed at the factory price shown.

Who installs it?
This unit is sold and shipped direct from the manufacturer; installation is by your own certified hearth installer, working from the manual below.
