The large Mason-Lite fireboxes are for great rooms. The 39" is for the rest of us — a living room, a den, a normal wall — and it delivers exactly the same thing: a genuine refractory masonry firebox, built from pre-cast modular sections instead of a week of bricklaying.
At 47" overall width it fits where a site-built masonry fireplace would need a chimney breast projecting into the room. And it still takes a 12" flue rather than the 14" or 16" the bigger units demand, which keeps the chimney system in reasonable territory.
A zero-clearance steel firebox is cheaper and lighter. What it does not do is store heat. Masonry absorbs the fire's energy and re-radiates it for hours after the flames die down — the reason old fireplaces stayed warm all evening. Refractory concrete behaves the same way, and it does not warp, rust or fatigue the way steel eventually does.
The trade is weight: 1,614 lbs assembled. But it ships as sections a crew carries in, with no footing and no crane.
Ships with a knock-out and concrete plug. Mortar it in for wood-burning, knock it out to run a gas line. You are not locked in at purchase.
Suits flush, corner, internal wall or full projection installation, at a consistent 30" depth.

A: We ship throughout the continental United States with free shipping on orders over $99 (flat rate $9.99 under $99). For Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories, please contact us for a custom shipping quote, which we'll provide within 1-2 business days. Orders to these locations are not processed until shipping costs are confirmed and approved. We do not currently offer international shipping outside of the United States and its territories.

A: Orders are processed within 1–3 business days, and delivery after shipment takes 5–14 business days depending on your location. Custom-made and made-to-order products require 2-3 weeks for production before shipment. Special order items typically take 1-2 weeks. You'll receive tracking information once your order ships.
